Respected Sir/Madam,
I am Ms Munmun Chakraborty an existing Card holder of your Bank No - 4346 7811 0088 4311. I have a joint savings A/c in HDFC Bank also. On 05.04.2010 during the time of my ATM transaction i found a difference in my Balance statement. I contacted at my Branch, Madhyamgram Branch and verbally they informed me the amount of Rs 49, 000 (Approx) was hold by the credit card division of HDFC Bank and this is may be because of non-payment for the card.
But kindly note the following details : - The card has been settled on 25.06.2009 vide reference no - S0535214 by your employee Mr S. Chatterjee (VCode - S2947) under the amount of Rs 2- and payment will be made by giving a cheque and amount will be cleared after the scheduled date i.e January and this was a hold cheque (Ch no - 209653 dated 11.01.2010 PNB Barasat Branch) as i was that time not in Kolkata the settlement was done by my elder brother Mr Abhijit Chakraborty. And as per discussion it was decided the cheque will be on " HOld" mode and it was cleared after my returning. But after that your employee informed us you have to make a payment in between otherwise the settlement will be declared as cancle. So my brother made a cash payment of Rs 1700/- vide reference no - F10582313 to continue this settlement agreement. I came back on March and I called up at customer care division to send the representative to complete the settlement and return the hold cheque so that I can issue a fresh cheque. They sent an Agency person with another settlement paper and compelled us to do the fresh settlement again by Rs 12000 and told us the payment we have already made will not be considered. We asked him to contact with all the documentation but no body contact with us thereafter. So on 29.03.10 I personally dropped a cheque at Barasat drop box vide Cheque no - 541909 in favour of HDFC credit Card Rs 17750 as per the settlement made vide Ref no - S0535214. But now I am astonished how the Credit card division can hold the amount when I have already done my payment? And today is 08.04.2010 the cheque I have given on 29.03.2010 and how it has not yet been cleared? After receiving the cheque how department can block my a/c? Why credit card division not informed me the actual scenario? After holding the amount I called up Customer care division several times and Physically went to Glinder's House Kolkata but till date no executive contacted with us or give us any proper reason or answer though they promised me to make an arrangement for call from the concerned division with in 24 Hrs. Your behaviour proves that you are harassing your customer by not providing the actual details.
So at this moment from my side no payment is dues as per settlement.
but still the bank hold my a/c and I am unable to do any transaction.
Kindly take the measure to resolve the problem at the rearliest.
