Calls by Recovery Agents

I have owned a HDFC Credit card for long and had made due payments on time always. Lately, I wanted to close my HDFC credit card services as there were hidden charges involved and their bill didn't provide sufficient information on same.

I had some 4000/- due, for which I had called Customer Care to de-activate the card post making payment. But they asked for reasons and prolonged the process. Meanwhile I started getting calls from their Customer Care (??) or Recovery Agents, specfic name was Dipali.

They started harassing me for payments and quoted amount as 5707 Rs. To get rid of them I went to HDFC Branch and they were closing so asked me to come again. But that day I again got a call, with one person from HDFC joining in. They became very indecent with their language. On my next visit to branch, branch suggested to drop cheque in ATM box rather than cash deposit. I did the same to get rid of these evils.

But then I get a call that why not Cash payment, and they became abusive this time.

I wonder do we entertain their multiple calls to take Credit Card, to end with having arguments with such loose people??

I have few other credit cards too, but never faced any such issue. I just want to warn people against HDFC. Awful services.
