DELAY IN PAYMENT OF CANCELLED POLICY PROCEEDS

Sir, Ihave taken 10 YEAR HDFC STS LIFE YOUNG STAR PLAN Policy NO 10414396 in Nov and paid yearly prmoum of RS. 10000/- fro three years 2007. Ihave not paid primium in 2008 (THE AGENT TOLD I CAN PAY PREMIUMS FOR MINIMUM 3 YEARS) and my policy was cancelled and they have sent CHQ no 329015 dated 11.02.09 for Rs.14759.79 on 16.02.09 .the chq was returned on the plea that door was locked . since then the chq is retained with the VISAKHAPATNAM office . when i contacted the office in jan for surrendering the policy they told that the policy was cancelled and chq was at their office (without revalidation). after my prolonged compliants and enquiries they have sent the chq on 05.02.10 .

Sir, i am eligible fro interest at applicable rate as the delay is due to the negligence and deficiancy of service on the part od HDFC staff.
