CIBIL Listing

I had in yr 2004 a credit card got from ICICI bank. For what so ever reasons, I got it settled for Rs. 12000 in three EMIs which i Paid in time during Sep 2006. I have receipts and settlement letter with me. When I applied for a loan with some other bank during Aug. It got on hold on the grounds that I have an overdue for Rs. 6900/- in CIBIL CIR with ICICI bank till date which should be NIL.

Upon asking with concerned authorities of ICICI, they said that it is not possible that any entry of Overdue is still reflecting in CIBIL in my CIR. They are also telling that they had already sent the details to CIBIL but CIBIL has not updated my info at their site. They have given me the deadline upto 16 days. Otherwise, my loan will get denied. Only because of their negligence. I have asked them to initiate early action but still they are insisting me to wait for 15-16 days.

God knows whether they will do something or not??
