Late payment charges

HSBC is charging penalty of Rs. 750 ST as late payment charges this is being done in connivance with their own cheque collecting agencies (Sky pack Drop Boxes). I dropped a cheque of Rs. 5000/- 6 days prior to the due date but due to deliberate delay in collection of cheque by bank's agency, the penalty was levied. I also suggested the bank to provide a dated receipt of the cheque so dropped in the drop box, this suggestion remains unattended as the bank will loose huge amount which is sucked by the bank as late payment charges. RBI should look into this legalised loot by HSBC and take corrective measures to give some relief to honest card users.
