I have been getting repeated calls from an HDFC agency (011-4316-1520) mentioning that I am using the above-mentioned HDFC card and that it was issued in my name in 2006 and I had made a transaction off some 551 Rs in 2006. The late payment / interest charged have now accumulated to 6043.
I would like to mention here that I never requested / received / used this card ever. When I ask for a POD for the card, my transaction, I am redirected to the bank, the customer care of which is pathetic in itself not to respond to the same. The request Id for my complaint was (09173125702) - no one has reverted.
I then mailed HDFC customer support and they also sent a couple of mails without actually resolving the issue.
All in all I am dragged into something for which I am not responsible for and I am being harassed every now and then for payment. The agent asks me to settle - why the hell should I? I get calls when I am driving / in the middle of meetings etc.
