I had a credit card with HSBC Bank vide card no. 4384599986338720. I was regularly making the payments. During they stopped sending my statements to me. I had spent an amount of Rs 1450/- during my last bill. I had kept on contacting the bank requesting them for the statement which was not provided to me and the LPC kept piling on. Eventually, after 3 years, I was able to convince them about the valid reason for the non-payment and I had requested them to accept the actual amount spent by me, which was accepted by the Bank. Please note that this was already a timebarred debt, but I had followed up with the bank and paid the amount. I have the letter dated 21.06.11 of the bank stating that there the account relationship has ceased.
But now, it is understood that this data is captured in the CIBIL report which has diminished my score. Considering the above facts, request you to take this up with HSBC and ensure that this data is removed from my CIBIL records.
