ICICI bank Lost my cheque

Hi All,

My name is Nikhil Kumar & I am so fed up with the services of my home branch (Marol, Andheri East, Mumbai).

I dropped a cheque in favor of one of my friend on 4th Dec which was a self cheque. I got a call from ICICI bank says that it's a self cheque so it can't be credited to your account. They returned the cheque to my branch, that's fine.

When I went to collect my cheque, your executives said that it has been misplaced and give us 1 or 2 days. I again visited the branch after 2 days and they again said the same line. I had been there 5-6 times and called them more than 20 times but I am not getting any proper reponse.

The person is saying that your cheque has been misplaced by my staff and we are really sorry but we can't do anything.

It has been more than a month and I am just fed up with this. We have no contact with the person who has given us the cheque (our previous landlord).

What should we do now as we are in loss of RS 7000 and ICICI bank is not giving any response?

Please advise me.
