Debiting of the salary account without the consent of the account holder towards credit card payment

We have received an SMS from ICICI Bank on January 16th stating that the minimum amount of Rs. 8120 should be paid on or before February 3rd 2010.

But I found out that the salary account was debited to a zero balance and a total of Rs.34500 approx. was debited from the account without any intimation or consent on 29th January.

I spoke to the concerned authority, but there is no positive progress as such. They have been advancing things and meanwhile i receive calls from the credit card section making false allegations that we have not paid the money.

I would like the transaction to be reversed at the earliest.

The payment history shows that we have paid decent amounts and we never have an idea of turning into a defaulter.

I would like to know whether we can approach legally.
