MISHANDLING OF ORIGINAL PROPERTY DOCUMENTS

This complaint is about handling of original documents by ICICI home loan section.

The owner who sold property to us took loan from ICICI, Noida. After selling property to us we too took loan from ICICI.

Due to increaing interest rates we shifted from ICICI home loan to LIC Housing Finance, Noida. Original documents against our loan account were returned to us. However original documents against seller's loan account remained with ICICI WITHOUT OUR KNOWLEDGE.

When LIC demanded ALL original papers for disbursement of loan, we had no clue where the missing documents would be. We started searching seller after five years. He was traced in Indonesia and non-responsive.

We had to arrange money of our own. We could not sell property and follow up with ICICI did not yield results until in Sep-10. We had to undergo mental torture and agony of loosing original documents of our property which cannot be compared or expressed in words.

Finally ICICI accepted their mistake and returned original documents to us in Oct-10 after 15 months. The original documents against seller's loan were NEITHER returned to him by ICICI NOR shifted to our loan account during 4 years.

By this time we were in complete financial mess! We therefore indent to ladge financial claim of Five Lacs against ICICI for the harrassment & trouble we had to go through.
