ICICI Prudential iProtect I
Policy not issued and asking to pay extra

Hi,

I'm Sathish Kumar and I applied an ICICI Pru iProtect I via online on 08 December. My application no. is OL00048080. I paid Rs, 8217 for Sum assured 50 lakhs and term for 30 years. Almost 2 months get over, still my policy not issued. I have submitted all documents and done medical as well. Actually they said to issue the policy in 10 days. But they want to pay Rs. 5184 extra which compared to quote the price in online.

I asked the reason that they simply saying due to overweight. I'm 33 years old and my height is 165cms. Actually I should be 65-70 kgs, but I'm in 83 kgs. Other than I don’t use tobacco, Alcoholic and very healthier now. Since the weight only they asked to pay extra 63% for policy. But this conditions are not available in their terms & conditions.

I asked to refund the amount. but they told that the refund only after some deductions. They are quoting the very low premium in online. But asking to pay more after applied the policy. Please all of you think twice, before go with ICICI Prudential.
