Loan proceesing fees-reverse

Brief History: In the first week of November, I had approached an agent of IDBI for a take over home loan from ICICI. In this regard, I had submitted all the documents required for processing the loan to the agent. In the beginning of December the agent had called me and mentioned that the loan has been processed and they are sending the cheque provided by me for processing of loan for clearing. The cheque had got subsequntly cleared. However, during December end, the agent tells me that the loan has been rejected. This is when I asked for a refund of the processing fees, to which I got a reply saying that it could not be reversed as I had signed on the application. While, I'm not disputing the right of IDBI in processing/rejecting a loan I find charging of a processing fee without disbursing the loan unfair. In this regard, request your help in getting the processing fee already paid. All my efforts in receiving a refund has gone without any success as you can see from the mails below. Kindly interverne and help.
