Indian Banks' Association
A most unfriendly website?

It is an interesting learning experience to make an attempt to upload any comments or any suggestions in the website of the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA).
2. For uploading comments, one is required to feed the name, postal address, etc. As regards name, only unbroken full name alone can be fed-and this one learns only after a few attempts. In the Suggestions link, however, it is clearly provided that full name must be given.
3. For address also, strangely, this website does NOT accept anything other than alphabets and commas-whereas (like in Tamilnadu, especially in Chennai, both Old and New Nos. are required to be stated for facility of delivery of letters, etc.) in several places both old and new door Nos. are usually given. Commas are not unknown even in the West! It would appear that the IBA lives in a paradise of people not particularly aware of the modern developments and current events.
4. In the portion for comments as such in the link for Comments, the most hilarious situation arises as the site does not accept anything ‘other than alphabets’-thus prohibiting the use of commas, full stops (now called in this age of computers and internet ‘dots’), semi-colons, hyphens/dashes, slash signs, etc., which are common in the English composition of a literate person!
5. Even more frustratingly annoying experience awaits a visitor to this site seeking to upload “Suggestions”. Here also, one is barred from using signs of slash, etc., as aforesaid and any attempt at doing so is met by a stern message as under: “Your Suggestion has special characters. These are not allowed. Please remove them and try again.”
6. Even more exhilaratingly disgusting news is that, if one wants to send an e-mail to this highly professional body, it must be addressed only to: webmaster@iba.org.in!!
7. This experience is worh sharing on your user-friendly site. And hence this post.
