Closure of bank accounts

Sir,

my father mr .m.k. rokad chand expired in he had a saving account in his name acc no 2302. another account as m.k.rokad chand h u f, acc no 16557 and a current account in name of r.r jewellers . now i need to close all these accounts .when i approached to the branch long back they asked for some details like death certifacate, legal heir certificate, etc. I have all the details with me but as the people in bank are always busy they are unable to guide me so now tell me what i should do and what is the procedure .my father has not put any nominee . my mom is with me should i claim the money in her name . you should make it mandatory to add nomine so that this type of problems dont arise. what should i do now??
