Wrong information regarding policy

HI,

This is regarding my policy number 251100 - 46 - 10 - 8500000341 - 040401. This is a Med claim policy with Maternity Coverage including in this from Karvat Health Services Ltd which is a part of National Insurance Co. Ltd. Before taking the policy, I was assured by the sales executive that even if my wife gets pregnant within one year, the company will reimburse the amount. However, when I got the bond papers today, it strictly shows that maternity coverage is only applicable after one year. I talked to the branch office in Delhi (CONNAUGHT PLACE NEHRU PLACE, UGF 9A/B, Arunachal Building, Barakhambha Road, New Delhi-110 001) on the number 011-66320123 and instead of helping me out with the cancellation of policy or taking action against the sales executive who sold me the policy, I was told that there is no free look period for Med Claim policy and even if I try to cancel the policy now, then there maybe some deductions as per company norms. So it would be better for me to carry on with the policy.

My policy starts from 30th May and I have received the bond papers today on 16th June. I totally don’t wish to take this policy and am looking forward for cancellation of this policy with full refunds. Furthermore, if possible, strict actions should be taken against the executive and branch so that no one else is fooled by their wrong promises. I do wish I had recorded their voices, but unfortunately don’t have any proofs against the false promises which were made to me. But my this request which is no more than 15 days from the policy in action, clearly shows that I didn’t got from the policy what I was promised. Please look into this matter and help me out.
