I am writing this mail with the utter dissatisfaction of the service that I have received from LIC Tynampet Branch, Chennai.
I applied for the loan of 35 Lakhs in July and paid the 0.25 % processing fees upfront. The loan was sanctioned in the month of august after tirelessly submitting all the documents that they asked for.
Finally the sanction letter was given to my father-in-law was given the November, After his frequent follow ups with the LIC Sales person Mr. Hari and Mr. Natraj.
They mentioned that the delay in processing is due to LIC Software Problem and also because they have shifted their office to Tynempet.
They didn't mention that the sanction letter that they have given was about to expire in two weeks before which we should get the Loan Disbursed and it is not even stated in the Sanction Letter.
So Again to get the loan disbursed they started to ask for more documents like recent pay slip etc. Even after submitting all those documents on the same day, They dragged till the year end (31st of December) and made my father-in-law to pay the increased processing fees at the neck of the moment without my knowledge.
As a NRI customer never in a single instance I was informed what is happening with my loan, I wasn't even notified of the sanction or disbursement of my loan even through email.
I have contacted Ms. Bhrathi Manager (operations) and gave her all the email evidence that I was communicated with 0.5% upfront processing fees and made complaint about the delay and irresponsible people on 7th Jan. She then requested for explanation from the Tynampet Area Manager Ms. Latha, who hasn't responded till date! Frequent ISD calls won't get any answers!
Note: All customers please beware never go to LIC for Housing Loan or be ready to get the worst service.
