Non acceptence of CBS cheque by LIC p/blai

I send as premium deposit of my yearly premium of LIC policy to LIC India office at portblair a CBS Cheque of SBI amounting Rs 25000.00 on 25/05/10 which the LIC refused to accept as my prmium deposit on the ground that their head office has ordered them to not to accept out station cheque as part of premium deposit . even after clarifying that CBS cheques are payable at all Core banking service branche at par they insisted to not to accept the cheque.

there after i approached to the office of The development office at Port balir who simialry refused to accept the cheque . while few months ago i have send same cheque for my another policy with LIC they accepted it and issued me reciept as well.

therefore i request to clearify LIC position with respect to Core banking cheques which is other wise encashable instantly at all CBS barnches of SBI.
