Regarding absurd charges for preponement of flight dates

I had preponed my ticket from 11th July return from Frankfurt to Kolkata to 8th July and I was charged Rs. 7800. I have enquired with the customer service office of Air India regarding the charges and they said me it is around 42 euro or 50 US dollar i.e around Rs 2500. I have no doubts regarding this rate since one of my friend has the same ticket as me and had preponed from frankfurt for 42 euro. I have tried to mail them regarding this but the mail is bouncing back. I would like to help me find a right deal with them. I am a student from NIT Warangal.
