The software has not been programmed/updated accounting for "Helping Hand" announcement dated 23rd May (Times of India, Delhi) according to which " the Tax increase is capped at 2.5 times the Tax under rateable value to avoid hardship to Senior citizens, and other economically weaker sections.”

Tax under rateable value was Rs. 400 prior to 04 and thus tax increase under Unit area method shall be capped at Rs. 1000 and Tax payable under unit area method works out to Rs.400 increase capped at Rs.1000 = Rs. 1400

Thus, Tax due is Rs. 1190 and not Rs. 1436 as per challan for payment before 30th June.
