Regarding Credit card

I had a HDFC credit card limit 18000, means cannot spend more than 18k, recently I opened a salary account with HDFC bank and they block amount 73000 how? moreover before blocking this amount I done the settlement for credit card that was in 18k as the last date was 30 nov to make the ist installment i got delayed and made on 2 dec does it means they gonna take 73k instead of 18k??
