Agent / employee Giving wrong info about HDFC SL Crest Pan - & was harrased on denying to take the policy

Hello HDFC BANK - Credit Card Division,
I’ve a very serious complaint against a specific Agent/employee of HDFC bank Credit Card – division (Kolkata). Some time back this man visited my house and explained me the policy on HDFC SL Crest Plan- Highest NAV option. He explained me that the term of the policy is 10 years and I need to pay premium for the first five years. But I categorically asked him about the NAV amount I would be getting if I surrender the policy after 5 years but before 10 years, as my intention was to keep this policy maximum for 6 to 7 years. To this he explained me that I can surrender this policy at any point of time after 5 years. In that case I’ll be getting minimum 15 NAV guaranteed. And in case I surrender it after 7 years, then I’ll be getting the highest NAV recorded during these years. To this I was much excited and agreed to take up this policy.
But later on I got a call from HDFC LIFE INSURANCE office from Mumbai and on inquiring about the same policy the person confirmed that whatever info I was given till date from the Tele-caller of the Credit- Card division and the agent/employee who visited my house is wrong and misguiding. Thanks to this person from Mumbai office – he asked me to open the product brochure from website and explained me things in detail. He said yes the policy is for 10 years. But if I surrender the policy before 10 years, then I would be getting the return based on the NAV amount which is recorded on that particular date. And also confirmed that I would not be getting the return of minimum 15 NAV if I surrender the policy before 10 years.
Now if the two stanza are compared – one can easily understand how the person who visited my house gave me all false & wrong information. Not only this – after I denied to do this policy, this person – has repeatedly called me twice & used abusive languages.
I’m connected with HDFC bank for quite some time now and till this time, I was very happy with the kind of services I received from them. But this time for this person, I’m very upset with the way I was harassed and treated. I really want to bring this into notice to higher authority – so, that we are not cheated & harassed again like this.
Request the inquiry to be done for that person working on your department: The name and employee code of the person who misguided & harassed -- is with us. Will be shared once we are contacted. Hope at least now proper steps would be taken against the aforesaid person.
