Amount deducted after closing loan

I borrowed housing loan[no-351209146] from hdfc and settled the account on 10th April. After closing the account one instalement of Rs4482 was deducted on ECS from my a/c. When I approach the Tambaram B.O they told me it will be refunded. After waiting for 2months again I approached them and they said it has been send by cheque on 26th April itself, but I did not received. I approached the H.O. at Mount Road and asked the proof for sending the cheque. Now Mr. Raja [phone no-044 28599391] in H.O saying that the cheque is lost and asking me to produce Indemnity bond. Why should I submit indemnity bond when the cheque is not received by me. Excess amount deducted from me should be returned to me immediately, else I may have to approach the consumer court in this regard.
