Illegal service charges on food

Lemon Twist and other restaurants in and around Noida are illegally charging 5-15% "service charges" from customers. Service charges are not government mandated but these restaurants sometimes try to pass this on as govt tax.

In the specific case of Lemon Twist Sector 63 Noida, they charges a 10% service charge on a buffet lunch and refused to take this off from the bill when I protested. The service charge in all places can be charged only when a customer is happy with what was offered. In this case, the service was poor and the staff behavior including managers and owner was rude.

I would like to take this case to consumer court.. and looking for some advice.
