Joining bonus refuced

I joined in a software company as a software engineer last year. They told, they will give joining bonus of 25, 000. But, they told they will give after 3 months. After 3 months, they told they don't have projects in pipeline. They don't have work for me and finally asked me to leave from the company. I asked my joining bonus during resignation. But, they told they will give only for permanent employees. They didn't tell this when I joined. I hope joining bous is for joining immediately. I don't know why they related this with Confirmation. They didn't give any compensation for layoff. Please adivce me how to complain? Can I dile a case against the company. Client sent an appreciation mail to our team. But they said I didn't perform well. what is this nonsense?
