Damage of my Household articles during transit
I have moved my household articles from Pune to Bhubaneswar vide M/s Caravan Packers & Movers (Consignment No. 003891). However, they have mishandled the delicate items like TV, Dinning (Glass Top), TV Stand etc and my TV, Dinning Top and TV Stand have been totally damaged by them due to bad packing and mishandling by them during the transit.
The articles from my Pune residence were packed and despatched on 21st Nov and were received at my Bhubaneswar residence (destination) by GATI Cargo. However, while unpacking the goods at my house, it was found that the consignment containing TV, Dinning Top and TV Stand were found in a broken state and were in an unserviceable condition. I had writen a note on their copy (drivers' copy) and it was jointly signed by me and their representative. The insurance amount declared by me for the above article was Rs. 9, 000/- (Nine thousand only)
I spoke to the concerned officer of their Pune office about the same and he insisted me why you are recived the damaged goods for GATI.
Then I contacted the Gati people regarding this, they told to fill the all formalities on paper and sumit with us. I did the same and sumit it on Gati office cuttack. But till date no one to come for inspection the damaged goods are still keep in my custody.
I contacted somany times to pune office as well as head office delhi. I also send a mail to
info@cpmi.in and mumbai@caravanroadways.com last month but no reply till now.
However, I feel extremely sorry to inform that till now, I didn't get any calls from their office while I expected their person to atleast give me a courtesy call. I have wasted a lot of my money for making phone calls to their office everyday when they assured me that they are extremely sorry for the delay and they would definitely come to me personally and do the needful. But nobody eventually didn't turn up as usual. Since that day, I have stopped calling him on his phone.
I just thought of sharing my experiences to enable everybody to think twice before selecting this agency.
