Battery faulty under Warranty

I, P.T. Somasundaran Nair baught a Maruti Wagon R from True Value ie. Spectra Auto Mart, 372/374, Shivanand Nr, S.T. Jhon School, Opp. HDFC Bank, S.V. Road Goregaon (W), in Dec. 2010 under Warranty for 1 year. However, Battery of the vehicle went off/gone completely and when I took my vehicle to Maruti Service Centre, I was told that I will have to get Battery replaced with new one, since existing one doesn't work/get charged and I have to pay for the same.

Inspite of my vehicle having/under warranty, I was insisted to to pay for the same, and I had no other alternative, I replaced one on my own cost.

Am at a lost to understand inspite of paying huge amount during purchase also carrying warranty of 1 year, why I was forced to pay.

Hence, I hereby lodge a complaint and please ensure that I am reimbursed with the same amount.
