Engine noise

In short, my new car has been making cracking noise every day when I first start it. This may be because of the oil settling down at night in the engine. Due to this the part may wear out and cause a serious concern in the future.

The dealer and GM have replaced the steering pump twice and also they have a video shooting of the noise. But no one seems to be bothered about the noise as according to them its normal. I have a complaint lodged in the consumer court in Pune against them. The court requires a third party to certify that the noise does exist and is harmful to the passengers.
