Hello,

My wife and I are the victims of a license plate scam at the Delhi International Airport for Rs. 2, 000.

I will tell every single person I know to STAY AWAY from Delhi if at all possible as there is so much corruption and fraud in Delhi.

Fraud:

While my wife helped me with a canceled flight, the Delhi Airport Police harassed our driver (Private car with Rajasthan tags) holding the insurance, registration, driver's license - demanding Rs. 2, 000 immediately or Rs. 12, 000 the next day.

The Delhi police said that the license tag didn't have a "0" at the beginning of the tag and we would all have to go the the High Court the next day, pay a Rs. 12, 000 fee to talk to the judge - or we could just pay them Rs. 2, 000 fraud right there.

My wife and I are not familiar with the Delhi area so paid the Rs. 2, 000 fraud charge.. Immediately thereafter the gang of 4 Delhi police called another 4 Delhi police to also get extortion money. We told the driver to leave the airport until the canceled flight situation was taken care of.

The car is a brand new Toyota Innova with brand new license plates issued my the Jodhpur Traffic Authority.

The incident took place at 9 PM local time at Delhi International Airport.

My flight was leaving at 11.37 PM and my wife and her driver had driven me to Delhi from her home in Jodhpur.
