Worst Service

Last December '2009 i shifted from Bangalore to chennai and booked Divya Sree Packers and movers for the purpose of delivery of my goods from bangalore to chennai. They Charged sum of Rs 14000/- for Freight charges, 1800 for Service charge and also paid Rs 3000/- for Insurance. While booking, they said goods will be insured under Oriental Insurance, can claim 95% of amount in case of any damage due to accident and promised goods will be delivered in 2 days. But even after 5 days goods were delivered, while try to call them no one responded the call. I spend money to purchase new Dresses. Finally consignment reached my place after 5 days with lot of damages.. Bike handle bar broken, Computer cabinet broken, all glass items were broken, and most of the packages were teared, crushed and opened and lot of small items were missing (ie Penstand, Tool Box, etc..) I asked the person who delivered the goods to write these things are damaged or lost in paper and sign it, he said he will wait outside, but he left stealthily while i came down with the details.

I called them and asked recovery for damage, they simply said, as per insurance policy return back all damaged goods (70K worth Bike, Computer, All broken glasses) to them and they will pay Rs 40, 000. Even i told them these damages are due to inapt handling of the goods by your man while carrying the goods.

I asked them to send me the copy of insurance policy they paid with Oriental insurance. But they said it is their own insurance policy, terms and conditions are regulated by them. When i asked them to send me the Terms and conditions to my mail id, he said they are very busy and cannot spent time for small things like this.

My total Damage and loss worth around Rs 15, 000 to Rs 20, 000 and spend Rs 5000 to purchase new cloths and basic things.
