Law unto themselves

I booked return air ticket from emirates and was supposed to go back on 20 February. Rang their office in Kolkata to change the ticket for few days. They behaved like they are law unto themselves with no respect to international aviation law. First of all, they said they would charge GBP75.00 for cancellation. I agreed to pay. Then they said I will have to pay additional GBP300plus for new fair. I couldn't possibly do that. Then I agreed to take their offer on 01 March which they said would cost only GBP 75.00. I agreed that. Then they said it had 17 hours wait in Dubai. But they refused to provide hotel during wait although there is international law regarding this. Then I accepted their alternative offer of 21 February with their promise of costing GBP 75.00 with 7 hours' wait in Dubai. But then they said I will have to pay in Indian currency. They wouldn't accept my credit or debit card from UK knowing fully well that I could not possibly do that on phone. I don't know if I was talking to a human being or something else. I can't understand how Emirates can do international business with their own middle east law if it can be called a law. People may have difficulties and emergencies for which they have to change the flight - like in my case. But this arrogant air line did every thing to stop me doing this. It should be publicised to whole world re their arrogant un-accommodative attitude so that people stay away from Emirates. They should be challenged for their uncivilised attitude. Certainly I would not recommend any body to fly this awful air line in future.
