Unprofessional Organisation

The company personnel did a site inspection, quoted for packaging and shipping of my personal belongings. All the while they kept reiterating and stressing on their elaborate processes etc and hence a lack of flexibility in taking up a job without adequate notice to which I agreed. However the quote was part verbal and date committed only verbal while I was asked/reminded to confirm the date and amount in writing (in my case a combination of mail and sms). All of this needed constant follow up from my side. Based on their commitment, I travelled to Bangalore from Kodaikanal. A day before the date fixed, I call (no call from their end) to be told that the date is not ok to them citing very stupid excuses like the contact person has been in the field and not been able to come into office and hence not been able to schedule the job. Very unprofessional and callous for a company of the stature of Globe Moving & Storage Co. Pvt. Ltd.
