Delay in getting tickets

Southern Railways stopped advance issue of short distance tkts since last two months stating some fraud as reason for the same. This has resulted in hardship for passengers to wait for long duration waiting at ticket counters especially at majors stations. This will force people to travel without tkts when they cannot get tickets. No extra counters have been opened nor extra facilities provided to purchase tickets. For fraud committed by some fraudsters why should railways penalise the innocent majority travelling public. It is almost like the malayalam proverb "to burn a house to catch a mouse". Railway is hence requested to restore the advance ticket issue upto 200kms early.
