I went to Hondacity car service Centre Whitefield Honda in Bangalore for servicing of my car KA 03 MD 7957. I requested the service representative to check my car and give the estimate. He checked the car and gave me estimate of few parts like brake pad & disc brake Rs. 8500, Lower arm damper bush for Rs. 19, 500, idler pulley Rs. 1, 500/- Wheel bearing Rs. 6, 500/ - per wheel. When I asked him to give me in writing he refused to do so. The charges for parts replacement seems to be very high. It looks like that service dealers has their monopoly. They want the squeeze the customer in the name of Service. My rear bumper had come out due to some impact from the backside. I asked them to re-fixed it and out some screw & bolt. They said, it has to be replaced and quoted me Rs. 25, 000/ for this job and they suggested me to go through insurance so that you will get appx 60-70% from Insurance Company. I took the car to local garage for the same, they fixed it in 1 hour and charged me just rs. 200/-

Honda Seil India Ltd must ask their service dealer to publish the rate card in the service centre for the spare parts so that customer are not cheated.
