Honda Dealers Forcing The Customers To Buy Accessories

On 2-Oct, I visited one of your authorized showroom "M/s V.J.Automobiles Pvt Ltd" at Ulhasnagar, Dist - Thane (M.S) to book Honda Activa.

I was quoted the price of Rs 56652=00 (Rs 53269=00 for Basic Price Insurance Registration & Rs 3383 for Accessories) for Honda Activa with waiting period of around 10 months.

I agreed for waiting period of around 10 months & agreed to pay the booking amount of Rs 1000=00.

I informed Sales Representative that i do not want to buy accessories, hence he should book the vehicle for basic price which is Rs 53269=00 subject to change in price as per market price at the time of delivery.

Sales representative flatly refused saying they cannot book the vehicle without accessories as it is mandatory to purchase accessories for the customer as per company policy. He was ready to lose the booking as i was adamant that i do not want accessories as it is customers right whether to buy accessories from the company showroom or from open market or not to buy at all.

I spoke to Manager / Supervisor from Booking Team, she also told me the same thing that they cannot book my order without accessories. I specifically asked her is it Honda Company's Policy that customers have to mandatory purchase the accessories, to which she replied in positive.

I informed her that few days ago, i spoke to one of the executives at corporate head office of Honda & they confirmed that customers have the option at the time of booking to choose whether they want to opt for accessories or not.

After haring this, she accepted my booking without accessories.

The whole point is why your authorized dealers are making the customers fool by telling that it is company's policy. Honda's name is being spoiled. It shows even Japanese Motor Giant like Honda does not have a fair policy for its customers.

Since i was aware about the policy, hence i was able to give them rebuttals.

What about lakhs of customers who are unaware & are being forced to buy accessories from your showrooms by saying it is company policy?

Please find below my booking details for your reference & Please ensure i do not face any problem at the time of delivery for taking accessories as it has already been mentioned in my order form that customer does not want accessories:

It would be great to see if you can take some immediate steps to have fair policy & to see your authorized dealers stop cheating the customers.
