ARE YOU PLANNING TO PURCHASE HYUNDAI CAR
EQUIPPED WITH CENTRAL LOCKING SYSTEM?
Please Read This
-In JAN i purchased Hyundai i-20 equipped with central locking system (CLS).
Since the car was equipped with CLS, no separate lock was provided to the rear door.
-In absence of any mention or specification thereto in the manual about the function
of the CENTRAL LOCKING SYSTEM it was presumed that the system is same as
equipped in the cars of other cos. which gets locked automatically as soon as one
starts the car and confident of that life and valuables are safe inside the car the moment
it comes to life.
-But i was rudely jolted out of my confidence when someone opened the rear door and
walked off with a bag containing valuables while i was waiting at a busy crossing to
get clearance.
-Upon enquiry the dealer clarified that the central locking system gets activated only after the car exceeds the speed limit of 40 km/h.
-Now think for a moment that for any reason you fail to speed up, your HYUNDAI
equipped with CLS, to the specified limit of 40 km/h and come to a halt at a crossing
what would be the fate of your near and dear ones accompanied you and your precious belongings? Aren’t they at the mercy of antisocials and bag lifters?
-To my queries as to why this material fact was not disclosed to the prospective buyers
the co. HYUNDAI MOTORS INDIA has not, even after lapse of 6 months, given any
reply.
-Please take care if you are planning to purchase a HYUNDAI equipped with CLS or
are already a owner of the above ca
