Inhuman Treatment to Travelling School Childrens

My Children were traveling from Kolkata to Sweden landing in between in Mumbai for immigrations clearence in Mumbai.

They have been studying in Darjeeling district for the last 4 years. They are holding PIO (person of Indian origin card).

After the attack in Mumbai the India goverment change the rules or imposed a new law regarding foreigners.

My chidren did what they could in Kolkata regarding the passport etc etc to leave India for holiday in Sweden.

As they have the PIO card so It was understood that they can enter and leave India as all the India passport holder or the PIO card holder.

But this was not the case they have to extent they stay after staying in India for more than one years. It was impossible for them to know about this.

Upon leaving Mumbai they were not allow to leave India!!! as they have stayed in India more than one year.(which in Sweden would have been no problem as logically if one do not have the permit to stay in ones country that person should be deported as soon as possible) I do understand the Indian way of Law.

But my children are in Transit in Mumbai and it was 2am in Mumbai. They were forced to leave the airport on they own. That we feel is very Inhuman treatment.

I have contacted the Swedish Immigrations department. They say that what the Indian Immigrations did was Inhuman. They should have been more responsible and atleast taken care of them in a better way. even the refugees comming to Sweden are taken care of in a better manner.

Then Indian Immigration department has a long way to GO. and a lot more to learn about taking care of Foreigner. After all we are going back to India to contribute to the Indian Economy. and we are actually entitle to better treatment.
