Tatkal scheme

Hi

This is Abhishek from Mumbai. I was supposed to book tatkal ticket online for 10th June from Rourkela to Howrah. So I just logged in into IRCTC on 8th June at around 7:30 am morning. At the same time I was looking for availabiltiy of tatkal seats in Indianrail.gov.in. The time was 7:48am. To my surprise I found that the Tatkal seats were already in 'Waiting List'.

I just want to know how can this be possible when the Tatkal for 10th is supposed to be open at 8:00am but the seats gone before the time.

Are these railway people just faking around or is railway in urgent need of money.
