Damage caused by rats while travelling

On 18th october I was travelling from Pune to Habibganj [Bhopa} by train no. 11077 Jhelum Express in coach no. B-1 {birth no. 52] on a ticket PNR no.8546770130.My suitcase was damaged in the night by rats, it was extensively bitten. I lodged a written complaint with TTE[ with a claim of Rs. 5000] in morning when I noticed. The TTE gave me a copy of complaint and assured me that I may soon hear from Railway Authority in the matter and that he would submit the complaint at Jhansi office for immediate action. It is now more than three weeks I am yet to hear from railways.
