Dear Sirs
on 23rd January, We were travelling back from Kozhikode to Chennai via train number 16108. There was no inhouse pantry in the train that travels 18 hours from morning 11am to next day 5am.
The quality of the food that was getting served for meals that was Rs 95/- was so poor that I had to throw the food not even able to consume half the quantity. I was travelling with my 5 year old daughter and there was not even water or proper food that was being provided. The train stops in inbetween village stations for 5 minutes that by the time i get down and reach to the shop, the train starts. Travelling by 3rd AC coach was another disadvantage in the sense that the coach is at the extreme end where even to walk down to a stopping shop takes 5 minutes, by which the train starts
The travelling experience while going to Kozhikode 3 days prior to this date was much easier, however, the return journey was not atall a pleasant experience
Moreover, the compartment adjacent to ours (mine being B1) was empty, however, ours was completely full with no leg room even. It only means better planning...
Trust that this feedback will bring in some kind of retrospection and necessary changes be made so that the others who travel back do not have to feel the same going forward
