India Post / EMS speed post
Delivered in wrong place

I applied for assistant professor at NIT Kurukshetra, and sent my application form via speed post with clear handwritten address of NIT-Kurukshetra [which was given in the advertisement]. Speed post article number is EE841479305IN. But the speed post delivery system drop my envelop on Kurukshetra University on 20 February. So I will not call for interview now, and in the advertisement it was clearly written that "NIT-K will not entertain any package after the last date over". Right now what I have to do against India post. who is responsible for it?
