Text of the complaint lodged with Jet Airways on 16th July

Let me narrate the incident and treatment meted out to me today at Domestic terminal. I was carrying original Ticket no. 9W/ETKT 589 9795138638 for a Kolkata flight vide Flight No. 9 W 7095 scheduled to depart at 6.15am. I checked in at Airlines counter around 5.20 am and I was roaming around inside waiting lounge. Boarding pass was mentioning reporting at gate 11 at 5.45am. I was monitoring flight information at display screens also. I didn't find any mention of my flight no. at display screens. Around 5.40, when I was about to get down the escalator for gate 11, I heard an announcement for final call addressed to me and within two minutes, I reported at gate 11, but to sheer astonishment at bewilderment to me, your support ground staff didn't entertain my request to accommodate me in the flight and sent me to counter 11 for any sort of complain/ redressal of my grievance. Finding huge cue of passengers at Counter 1, I tried to put up my matter to a lady sitting right to counter 1. She simply advised me to go to ticketing counter and get a new ticket for next flight. I didn't understand the meaning of getting new ticket and I approached at ticketing counter to accommodate myself in next flight to Kolkata. At ticketing counter, i was told that since I have missed my flight, I will have to pay 1750 inclusive of penalty of 1000. Unsatisfied with the demand, I again came back to that lady beside counter 1 to lodge my complain. She refused to hear anything and told me that it is Airlines policy like that and I will have to buy fresh ticket.

Although unconvinced and unsatisfied, I went for buying a ticket for my destination at different ticketing counter than the last counter where IU was told to pay Rs.1750.

Again, another surprise and bewilderment was in store for me, that counter girl issued the ticket for next flight with ticket no. 5892180663883 without collecting any amount from me.

Thereafter, I approached the same lady beside counter 1 to again lodge my complain of differential treatment within ten minute. She flatly refused to hear me by saying that she cann't comment on the behaviour of another staff.

I asked for complain register, I was forced to wait for another 15-20 minutes, that lady left the counter, i chased her at another counter and after much protest, I got a complain form (Not a complain register).

Fearing that manually written complain will be torn by them, I am writing this mail to you to look into the whimsical attitude and response of your ground handling staffs.

In the meantime, I missed my professional assignment at Kolkata at 10 am for which I was to get 50000 as lecturer fees in a seminar. That seminar has been postponed for tomorrow and I will need another night stay at Kolkata with additional expnenses of lodging and boarding plus entailing a day's professional opportinity loss as well as discredit to my profressionalism in my community for getting this seminar postponed.

Please look into it and revert back. Manual complain form I am dropping at counter&&--(Don't know whether it will be received or not).
