Forced to re purchase ticket

My wife traveling from Mumbai to vadodara on 2nd June 12, with e-ticket. Due to over baggage she missed flight.jet airways not allowed to travel next flight to vadodara. They forced to buy new ticket, its right way to get business? Jet staff is manner less. Can you guide me. What jet did its ok or shall i go through ligules procedure? Manojkumar.
