Broken cable which holds the stepin tyre

The cable which holds the step - in tyre broke on the way while driving and not noticed by the driver. Some body on the road shouted at and informed about the incident.

If this would had happened on a high way and some other vehicle following imagine the impact.

Most worrying part is even though this was informed to M&M no action was taken so far. Even a mail was sent about 15 / 20 days back for no response!

Still one more chance being extended before going to media. I feel strongly this is nothing but a design mistake and utter neglegience by the manufacturer.
