FAULTY BATTERY

Respected Sir/ Madam,

I am Johnson Samuvel serving in Defence (Army). In Feb I have purchased a New Mahindra Rodeo 125CC from M/S Safe Motors, Kainatty, Kalpetta. The Chasis Number of the vehicle is MCDSR1B1VB1K29203 and Engine Number is PSEBK528996 with refister number KL-12G/ 1139. After a few days into use, we noticed that the battery of the veh started leaking and the metallic parts adjacent to the battery cabinet started decaying due to the effect of acid. We brought it to the notice of the dealer who assured that the same will be rectified during first service. But before the mandatory period for first service, the veh started developing starting problem and finally the veh took to the Dealer. He told that the problem arised due to some fault with the spark plug and the same had got changed. That time the battery also cleaned properly and they told that its charge was not upto the required level which also contributed to the starting problem. After some days, the battery again started leaking and the same again brought to the notice of the dealer and during first service in the last week of Feb, they again assured me that they have fixed the problem and there won't be any trouble in future regarding battery. But unfortunately, the battery again started leaking within a couple of days from the first service and the metallic parts adjacent to the battery cabinet are adversely affected. You are therefore requested to help us out since the problem may lead to damage to plastic and metallic part of the veh, may cause starting trouble and finally the battery itself may get burst in the long run.

Since I am away from home and the service centre/ Dealer is some 40 KM away from home, it is not that easy for my wife to again and again taking the veh to the service station every now and then since she is also employed. The dealer is not that interested to get the battery changed, which is according to me is the only option left.

I am expecting a positive reply from the company authorities since they give priority to after sale service also.
