Maruti Swift VXI
Manufacturing Defect

I purchased a Swift-VXI dated 11 October 10 and I had a very bad and horrible experience with Maruti. Yesterday when I was driving back home (19 Oct 10) from my work, I stopped at the Petrol Pump –Indian oil, Ardee city in Gurgaon to get my tank filled. When I moved the vehicle a feet away a blast happened in my car and my back glass of the car broke. I was shocked to see my new car in this condition. Everyone around came to help me out. We could not figure out the reason for the blast. For a moment I thought that someone threw stone on my new car. I got down and started shouting but there was no one around except the petrol pump people. I could not find any stone in the car or near it also. The petrol pump people confirmed that no one was there and it happened by its own. My hands and legs were almost shivering and I felt like crying to see my new car purchased on 11Oct 10 in this condition. This was actually manufacturing defect of Maruti. I called the workshop located at Rajeev Chowk, Gurgaon and after having huge discussion and argument they took the vehicle for repairing. It is still in the service station.

It was really a shocking experience, it was like blast and on the top of that workshop people were not ready to take it for repair even when the car was in warranty period, just a week old. This is not at all acceptable. I am very much afraid in taking the car back. That is the reason I want you to know and if possible take some corrective measure as Maruti is one of the best brand in India. If possible I want my car to be replaced or checked again by the specialist for any other manufacturing defect. I am a very dissatisfied customer. After this incident, I would never suggest anyone to buy a car from Maruti.

Please help me, I feel helpless. I come from a middle class family and buying a car is not easy for me.
