Cancellation of flight

Our flight from coimbatore to mumbai dated 27 th of jan flight no sg 264 was cancelled . we were intimated by 10.30 am, the same day. i contacted the no given to me in the sms, and she was not able to put me on any other flight on the same day. other air lines had tickets available, but the charges were high. what was the point booking the tickets 2 months in advance, and then paying such a high price . what if somebody was travelling on a urgent work, what if some one does not have the money required for a days stay. Agreed point no 9 in your ticket print out says you are not responsible for blah blah blah.

A docter takes signature before surgery saying he is not responsible blah blah blah, but will you allow him to go scott free, God forbid if things go wrong. Here i am not asking for any money or reimbursment. please dont cancell flights and if its unavoidable give some alternative flights so that passengers are not harassed. My P.N.R. no H24CLW
