Bad Service

I had got my Esteem LXi serviced at Apra Motors, Sector 14 Gurgaon on 9/3. It was a day after Holi, which was an official working day for the service center.

However after the car was allocated a job card and all details were taken from me, I was told that they are short of staff on the said day and that service will take more than usual time (though mine was the 2nd car to enter their service premises on the day) and may be they will not be able to perform all jobs like washing, cleaning etc and for that I will need to make a 2nd visit.

I took the car back from them at around 4 p.m. and as expected plenty of jobs were pending. However the worst was that soon after I brought the car back and start driving it to my way back, I realised that the car was missing ignition & was jaggering. Immediately I called up the service incharge of my car for the day and advised him the fault, to which he retorted saying there could be some water left in the engine and that I should bring the car back to service center for drying of engine.

I went back to service center after 3 days with the complaint and they again kept the car for good 6 hrs and gave it back saying it will not have a problem.

However the complaint persisted from that very day & my car which was earlier giving me a 17-18 kmpl average before service is now giving an average of 10kmpl and no engineer at Apra Motors is able to diagnose or rectify the problem and are instead asking me to get the ignition coil replaced which might cost me another 12-13 k. I already paid a bill of 12k on service of this car just 2 months back and due to the negligence of service staff of this company, have incurred a loss of almost 10k on petrol and they want to charge me more on pretext of further service.

Why should such service centers exist. Do they do repair work or spoil people's vehicles. To my dismay - Apra Motors also broke the side mirror of my car while doing the so called service.
