Fame Cinemas @ South City Mall, Kolkata
Poor Quality of Screening

Cinemas & Theaters

Recently I watched a Tamil movie "7 Aum Arivu" at Fame Cinemas (Screen-2) at South City Mall, Kolkata by spending Rs.250 per ticket. It was a worst experience at a movie theater I ever experienced even though the movie was one of the best movie.

The screening quality was too bad. Initially for the first half an hour the brightness of visual was average and later it became worster than worst. As specially after interval I had to find objects in screen. It was sooo dark.

This is not my first movie experience in Fame, South City. Last year I saw "Endhiran" (same screen) and it was totally waste of money (Rs.200). Every knows the quality of Endhiran movie is very sound in terms of Camera, Music and Sound Effects. The entire feel and experience of the movie was completly spoiled by poor screening and audio quality. I was so surprised when I saw the same movie in INOX, Chennai. The audio and video quality was awesome.

From that day I have never gone to Fame, South City/ Hiland Park. But this time I went there with no option as the movie "7 Aum Arivu" reviews were so good.

I have seen number of films in Fame (other screens) in South City and Hiland Park from last 3 years. But all other screens are comparatively OK other than Sreen-2 at South City Fame. We hardly see Tamil movies releasing in Kolkata. But I dont understand why those movies are being released with poor audio and video quality for Rs.250.

My request to Fame is please reduce the ticket cost for poor quality screens OR raise the screening quality.
