Credit Card Billing

Hi, Recently i purchased few garments from bossini, and while on bill desk the guy informed me that they has some coputer problem so he will give a manual bill. For which i have casually accepted. And he swiped my credit card for the bill amount and gave me the customer copy along with the manual bill.when i reached home i noticed my complete credit card number mentioned on that manual bill. I was worried if they might have the duplicate copy of the same and called them. They gave me answer that due to security reasons they note down the number to avoid any fraud transactions. I asked him i dont understand before noting down why cant u guys inform the customer same! and what shud i feel about my security concerns? bcoz a person can easily remember the back cvv number and expiry date very easily.and if he has the complete number in his bill book noted down, what is the catch?.please anyone help does it happen everywhere else is it anything fuss behind may happen?.later he told in future he will ask his guys to take only last 4 digits and 1st 4 digits alone..their complaints deprtmnt phone nobody are answering..pls help im worried due to security concerns.
