Installing pirated software on brand new laptops

I had bought a Lenovo Laptop G550 Model from Capital Electronics, Ultadanga Branch, Kolkata in July.

At the time of purchase I had enquired about the OS being installed and they said its genuine windows 7. When I asked about the OS CD they said its along with the driver CD.

In October I started receiving the message on my laptop that copy of Windows 7 is not genuine. When I confronted the staff they said they had informed while installing the pirated CD which is totally false.

A customer who is paying 25k to 30 k can easily pay a thousand more for original software, atleast he/she should be informed about what software goes inside the product for which he/she is paying.

Instead they told me a lie that the genuine OS is in the driver CD at the time of purchase, which is completely unethical and unprofessional. These kind of dealers only promote the use of pirated software in the market.

The website of the dealer says "Please Note: Computer / Laptop / Printer / mobile related Complaint to be registered with their manufacturers or service providers."

Using of pirated software is punishable by law. And dealers like this are doing it openly, without any fear.
